Plan a trip without losing the links
Updated 13 October 2026. 2 minute read.
Planning a trip produces a particular kind of mess. A hotel confirmation in your mail. Twelve tabs of restaurants. A friend's recommendations in a chat. A screenshot of a train connection. A PDF with the tickets. By the time you are standing in the arrivals hall, it is spread over six apps, and the one thing you need is in the seventh.
You do not need a travel app to fix this. You need everything in one place, and a way to pull out the right piece at the right moment.
One category per trip
Create a category named after the trip, such as "Lisbon in May". From then on, everything about it goes there.
In Stashy new saves are filed into your existing categories automatically, and things about Lisbon tend to find their way to a Lisbon category. If one lands elsewhere, moving it is a tap.
What goes in
- Bookings. Share the confirmation PDF from Mail. If it is only an email, a screenshot of the part with the booking number works.
- Tickets. Save the PDF, even if it is also in a wallet app. A second copy has saved many journeys.
- Places. Restaurants, museums, a beach someone mentioned. Save the link, or a post if that is where you saw it. See keeping Instagram and TikTok posts.
- Recommendations from people. Select the text in the chat and share it, or dictate a voice memo right after the conversation.
- Practical notes. The door code, the name of the landlord, the bus line from the airport. A short note.
- Paper. Scan anything you are handed on the way.
Add the dates
Anything with a fixed time should not rely on your memory.
- When a save mentions a date, such as a concert or a guided tour, Stashy offers it as a calendar event that you approve.
- For things you want to look at again, such as checking in online the day before, set a reminder on the booking.
On the way
This is where one searchable place pays off.
- Search for what you need, not where you put it: "booking number", "bus", the name of the hotel.
- Ask. "What time does the tour start?" is answered from your saves, with the source shown.
- Offline. Documents and notes you saved are stored in your library. A link, on the other hand, points to a web page and needs a connection to open, so save the PDF for anything you must be able to show.
After the trip
Most people delete nothing, and the category becomes a record of the journey. That is useful in its own right. Next time someone asks where you ate in Lisbon, the answer is one search away.
If you prefer a clean slate, keep the handful of places you would recommend and delete the rest. Deleted items wait in the Bin for a while, in case you were too thorough.
